Missing / Defected
I got a defected product.
If your Mambapod looks a bit different or doesn’t behave like what you saw in the “Mambapod Anatomy” page, chances are you got a funky one. Don’t worry — we’ve got your back! 😉

The cover of the tripod knob fell off

This doesn’t happen often, and the fact that the cover fell off doesn’t actually stop you from using it. But hey, if you want a quick fix, the easiest thing to do is just glue it back on. 😉
Just put a tiny bit of non-runny glue around the edge of the cover and stick it back in place.

My tripod/ballhead handle spun right off – like, it just kept turning and came off!
Okay, so even though the design of the tripod/ballhead handle is meant to stop it from just spinning right off, you can actually unscrew it all the way if you try.
When this happens, the first thing to do is gather up all the bits and pieces that fell off. Then, just follow the diagram below to screw it back together. 😉

Screwing the ballhead handle back on is a bit tricky.
Operation
Will the rubber feet on the Mambapod stain my clothes or leave black marks on white walls?
Yes, it will!
Rubber naturally picks up dirt, so if you set it on something super white, you’re bound to see some black specks. And if it gets dragged across a white surface, you might even notice some scuff lines.
If any marks pop up, try use a clean eraser to clean it! 🧽
Can’t grip tightly when clamped onto vertical flat surfaces.
It is recommended to use the clamping function when the clamped object is parallel to the ground.
When the clamped object is perpendicular to the ground, the clamp needs to be pressed tightly against on it.
If the object to be clamped is perpendicular to the ground, it will not be possible to clamp the object stably when installing a camera of more than 2kg.

Delivery
I want to track my delivery -Kickstarter customer
We use Pledgebox to handle the survey for Kickstarter post-campaign orders. Typically, Pledgebox sends a survey to your email to confirm your address and finalize shipping costs, but there might still be a few hiccups along the way.

I haven’t received a single email at all!
Before you keep scrolling, maybe take a quick peek at your spam folder to see if any emails from Pledgebox or Silencecorner are hiding out there—they sometimes end up in that sneaky spot! -
There’s no survey email
The most common issue is that backers use their Apple ID to log into Kickstarter, which often links to an unreachable default contact email. You’ll need to get in touch with us via email info@silencecorner.net, and we’ll manually update your email address and resend the survey invitation. We can’t ship your package without your address, so if you logged in with an Apple ID, please let us know ASAP so we can sort it out for you! -
My email is a regular one, and I filled out the survey ages ago, but still no updates! What’s up?
If you don’t find any emails from Pledgebox or SilenceCorner in your spam folder, it’s likely they haven’t been sent yet. With a ton of shipments to handle, we’re sending them out in batches. If you’re feeling anxious about your shipment status, shoot an email to info@silencecorner.net to check on the progress! -
I’d like to check my past shipment records. Where can I find it?
After the product is shipped, we will update the tracking information on Pledgebox and send a shipping notification by Pledgebox system.
You can log into Pledgebox to retrieve your records.
Additionally, you should have received a shipping notification email from Pledgebox in your inbox.
I want to track my delivery -ZecZec customer
We entrust a Taiwan shipping company to handle the deliveries, typically through Hsinchu Logistics home delivery or 7-11 store-to-store pickup. Shipments will be sent out according to the timeline mentioned on the Zeczec Mambapod project update page.
- I’d like to check my past shipment records. Where can I find it?
Since the shipping company sends pickup notifications via SMS, we will not send additional email notifications. If you need to know your past pickup number, please email info@silencecorner.net to inquire.
Where can I find my invoice
- Kickstarter customer
We use Pledgebox to handle the survey for Kickstarter post-campaign orders.
Therefor, you can totally find your invoice in your Pledgebox records, and even download it as a PDF. - ZecZec customer
A few days after we ship your product, we’ll send you an email with an electronic invoice that meets Taiwan’s regulations—just click the link in the email to download it.
If you don’t see it, take a quick peek in your spam folder for anything from Silencecorner.

I thought it was a scam, so I didn’t pick it up. Now the product has been returned.

Delivery company told me the package was lost or undeliverable
This is really frustrating, but don’t worry. Please contact info@silencecorner.net via email, and we’ll work with the shipping company to resolve the issue. It’s possible the package was sent elsewhere or we can arrange for a reshipment.
Delivery company told me the package was delivered, but it's not!
Based on our shipping experience, it’s quite possible that a neighbor picked up the package for you. You might want to check with those living nearby.

I received a customs notification stating that my package is held.
Since this is an international shipment, there’s a chance customs might inspect the package.

In what situation I can get a refund / exchange

- Crowdfunding customer
Actually, crowdfunding is quite different from typical consumer behavior. Crowdfunding is: we want to launch a product, but we lack sufficient funds. Therefore, we ask for everyone’s help to contribute money upfront to overcome the equipment and financial barriers. In return, we can offer impressive products as rewards to the backers. During this process, besides the material and labor costs of the product itself, there are many other hidden costs such as platform fees, advertising exposure, shipping, packaging, and so on. Your return is absolutely a blow to us exceeding 120% of the original price.
Getting back to the main point, returns are possible.
